A European project coordinated by Enedis to experiment new network solutions in order to improve the reliability and efficiency of a local electric system

Total budget:

  • €22.8 million

The InterFlex project was initiated by Enedis in response to a call for projects from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program. It brings together 5 European distribution system operators to improve the performance and the reliability of a local electric system by testing new uses of local flexibilities and new solutions of system automation.

  • Demand management / peak shaving
  • Installation of innovative equipment (observation, control)
  • Gestion of ev charging station
  • Advanced functions for managing the grid (status estimation, voltage regulation, self-healing, demand / production balance, active management of distributed resources...)
  • Electricity storage solutions (batteries, electric vehicle)
