A European project to prepare the DSOs for their new roles related to the integration of large renewable energy capacities

Total budget:

  • €7.9 million

Initiated in response to a call for projects from the European Commission’s FP7, the EvolvDSO project brings together five distribution system operators (DSO ) and eleven other partners. The integration of large renewable energy capacities represents several challenges for distribution grids. In that perspective, the consortium’s partners are working together to develop methods and tools supporting the emerging roles of the DSO.

Advanced functions for managing the grid (status estimation, voltage regulation, self-healing, demand / production balance, active management of distributed resources...)
